Madeira - an island in the Atlantic, favorably located close to the Gulf Stream, which ensures an exceptional climate throughout the year.

Caniço de Baixo is located on the south coast. Good bus transport to Funchal, the capital (12km away). The small village center of Caniço boasts pubs, nice restaurants, several bank offices, a post office, and two supermarkets.

The island has two marvelous golf courses. Apart from its unique flora, which speaks for itself, Madeira also has a wide range of marvelously scenic hiking paths leading along the Levadas (irrigation system).

The "casa palmeira" is situated in a southern hillside location, in a quiet, exclusive residential area, just above the cliffs of the south coast of the Atlantic, within walking distance of the beach, a fifteen-minute ride from Funchal and from the airport.
Inside the bungalow, there are friendly Mediterranean furnishings. You will feel at home from the minute of your arrival!
The terrace offers marvelous views of our tropical garden and of the ocean.

Caniço de Baixo is located 12 kilometers to the East of Funchal. Our house, the "casa palmeira", offers marvelous views of the Atlantic Sea.

This up-and-coming holiday resort has primarily German-speaking visitors. It is Madeira´s second most important tourist destination next to Funchal, the island´s capital.

Most buildings in the region are villas and family houses. There are cozy bars, nice restaurants, pubs and coffee houses, as well as modern supermarkets. Wide range of opportunities for leisure activities.

The wonderful swimming pool in the sea, popular among the locals as well, also features a diving school. They say that the ocean is most beautiful in Caniço de Baixo.
