Heat cut bacon in a pan, add 1 small chopped onion and fry to yellow color. Add cabbage, pour a little vinegar over it, stew. From time to time add more vinegar. When it is almost done, add a little flower and stew again. Finish by adding beef broth.
* As opposed to “sauerkraut” = sour white cabbage.
