Over the last 15 years I have organized parades, joint concerts with local brass bands, string orchestras, symphony orchestras and exchange workshops , even performances in nursing homes.
The primary venue for student choirs in Kremsmuenster is the gothic main church which has a raised apses so that a choir of up to 65 can stand in tiers. The students can change in the Sakristei. The acoustics are good, and a piano can be organized. (transport charges of aprox. $ 400.—have to be calculated here). The seating capacity is aprox. 500. As a place of worship, the Benedictine brothers ask only that a performance simply does not emphasize too much “show” and is sacred music. I always ask for a free donation a the end of the performance from the audience. With this money I make a donation to the church and also give it to the students. As this is intended to be a surprise for them please don’t let them know.
As a service to the clients I do all the ground work:
I place the performance in 6 newspapers, local TV, radio, make a e-mail campaign, and place aprox. 150 posters and fliers in the surrounding communities.
The University of Notre Dame and Penn State have performed here , picture of Notre Dame is enclosed
The central Austrian location of Kremsmuenster allows not only for day trips to Salzburg and Vienna, but also for visits and performances in the abbies of St. Florian (Bruckner Organ) and organ performances in the abbey of Schlierbach. For graduate student or professional groups I can organize a day program revolving around the work and daily habitat of Bruckner; the famous Upper Austrian composer. http://bestiary.ca/institutes/institutedetail5351.htm

In line with the scholastic attraction of Kremsmuenster, the Streitwieser Foundation with it’s living and working 5000 year historical collection of brass instruments and piano’s of the Viennese School is an additional “must” for Kremsmuenster. http://www.schloss-kremsegg.at
Show choirs and jazz combo`s have the best audiences in Bad Hall , in the spa park , seven kilometres from here, close by there is a Kurheim with stage for aprox. 50 as a bad weather alternative. For a late afternoon, nice weather performance, the park with it’s amphitheatre is the magnet. Sauk Prairie has performed here.
For Winter performances and captive audiences I have a modern nursing home with a very motivated management that welcomes performances of all kinds.

Microphone and piano are on location. A very thankful!! Audience of 60 can be expected, but the larger part of the audience follows the performance in their room on closed circuit television. Classical, jazz ensembles, and band! MANLY SELECTIVE have performed here.
Another show choir alternative is a lake front performance in Gmunden, 45 Km from here, and then taking a boat ride on the Traunsee and visiting BAD ISCHL and the Summer residence of the Emperor. Sauk Prairie has also performed here.
Because I can work with two music schools I can organize instruments and other equipment.
The Landesmusikschule Neupernstein offers the possibility of networking for a successful performance because the director ( Mr. Homar) has declared it as his explicit mission to further cultural exchange. The Symphony Orchestra of New South Wales High Schools has performed here and was extremely grateful for the modern concert hall, the movable stage so that all 65 could perform, and the loan instruments. With the Phoenix Symphonettes a workshop was successfully completed as well as a dual performance. Please regard the pictures ; they say a thousand words.
